Calhau is a lovely typical stone cottage – the main house of our property, where everything was started. Initially, it was our family rural house to spend weekends and holidays in a calm and natural place away from the city centre of Funchal. We started the first restoration process of this house in 1995 and, now, we are more than happy to share this important and special place with you. Calhau is the ideal place to spend holidays in Madeira Islands with your family or friends. Being in Calhau’s garden you will feel the serenity of the natural sounds, the calmness of the air breeze and the immensity of the ocean – a true peace of mind that you will always remember.
The cottage Calhau has two stories. On the ground floor you will find the living room, the kitchen and a support WC. On the 1st floor, there are two individual bedrooms: each with one double bed. Both bedrooms share the same bathroom that is in the same floor. Outside, the house takes advantage of a private porch, garden and barbecue with a fantastic view over the ocean.
