The cottage Palha has emerged as the rehabilitation and adaptation of one of our first traditional houses in Calhau Grande – the cottage Palheiro (haystack). This first house that we have restored to share our rural experience with guests, since 2004, was recently renewed as a studio with living area with bedroom, kitchenette and a bathroom with shower. The main and private entrance of the cottage is made by an ample glass sliding door, transforming it into a truly warm and welcoming space. A lovely balcony over the green garden contributes to compose this romantic cottage, which is a fantastic place to rest when the sun sets on the horizon.
This studio is an open space apartment with its own kitchenette, living area and bathroom. Even in a renovated space, you will feel completely inside a traditional house since, as it happens in the other cottages, the original stone walls were maintained, creating a unique rural setting. Outside the house, there is a balcony giving access to a private garden with barbecue and to the swimming pool level. The cottage is facing the sun and the ocean and takes profit of good views and warm temperatures all year round.
